Gerace was born in Brooklyn, New York and now lives in Manhattan. He has been travelling to the Dominican Republic for the past 12 years and makes 2-3 visits yearly.

Gerace states that he loves the Dominican Republic's beautiful landscapes, beaches, delicious foods, great music and people.
He is currently seeking publishers with the hope of having a high quality photography book to show the world the natural beauty and vibrant spirit of the Dominican Republic.
