Midnight Massacre
Last night's Missouri-Nebraska game was really special.
The game matched two Top 25 teams and two old rivals.

The game was nationally televised on ESPN and did not begin until 8:15 pm local time. It ended after midnight, but no one was sleepy. There was a record University of Missouri crowd of nearly 71,000 people and all of them except the red-shirted Nebraska fans were wearing gold.

Nebraska always brings a huge number of fans when they play on the road. Nebraska has been good for a long time and they can be a bit obnoxious. Consequently it is always very special to beat them. This time we beat them soundly. More than soundly. We kicked their ass.

The stadium was deafening all night.

This picture pretty much sums up the Nebraska fans' disbelief as the
evening wore on. Missouri fanst took great pleasure in their shock.
.
Nebraska was unable to score a single touchdown and
Missouri's offense ran wild. The final score was 41-6.
Missouri went into the game ranked 17th in the country. With the size of the victory and the fact that several teams ranked above them lost, there is a chance the Tigers will move into the Top 10.

It was a great victory and everyone went home happy.
We all know it only gets tougher now for the 5-0 Tigers.

Missouri's Quick Strike offense is directed by
All-America candidate Chase Daniels.

Missouri's defense has been their achilles heel this season,
but last night they totally dominated the Cornhuskers.
Head Coach Gary Pinkel has built Missouri into a national power.

Tight End Martin Rucker is considered the best Tight End in the country.

Though the game was a 'blowout,' the Missouri fans stayed until the end. But, the southwest corner of the stadium where the Husker fans were sitting was empty when the final second elapsed.

It was a long night for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
They were dominated in every phase of the game.

Tiger players urging the 71,000 to make noise.

Celebrating the win!

A happy Coach Pinkel.

Martin Rucker celebrates with the fans.

One of Missouri's biggest wins.

But beating Oklahoma in their stadium next week?
Now that is a tough chore.
A win would propel
the Tiger's into the Top 5 in the country.
