(Tuesday, 12:45 pm) Pretty much ready to begin the journey. Hate the travel to get down there, but when you walk out of the airport and feel the warm weather and cool breeze it is worth it. Rough day for me yesterday and today bidding farewell to Matt for awhile. It is all just so unknown.
But enough of that. I am ready for the journey down for the winter.
Dinner with Rachel in St. Louis
Had a very nice trip from Columbia to St. Louis on the MO-X mini bus. There were only three of us on the little bus and I read while the time and the miles passed quickly.
After the MO-X bus dropped me at the airport, Rachel came by and picked me up. We made the short trip to the Holiday Inn-Airport where I had rented a room to spend the night. After checking in and taking my luggage to the room, Rachel and I found a nearby Applebees and enjoyed a very nice dinner. We had a nice talk. I always enjoy the time that Rachel and I spend together.
I think Rachel is enjoying her move to St. Louis and I am hoping that she gets the marketing job with the St. Louis Blues that she has been interviewing for. Her third interview will be next week.
After our dinner together, Rachel dropped me at the hotel. After reading for awhile, I fell quickly asleep and actually slept quite hard. Usually when I sleep in a strange bed, I don't sleep well. Guess I was just tired and a little bit emotionally drained.
